【教材及学情分析】

本单元选自牛津上海版Oxford English 2B Module 4 More things to learn Unit 1 Activities。由Listen and say、Look and learn、Play a game、Ask and answer、Listen and enjoy五个版块组成。本单元核心词汇为play football, play basketball, play ping-pong, play cards。核心句型为Can he/she…?Yes, he/she can. / No, he/she can’t. 基于课标和生情,我们整体设计教学目标,关注语言学习的渐进性和持续性,以切实提高学生在真实情景中的语用能力。

本单元的主题是Activities,根据内容的推进,我们创设2个分课时话题,分别是Class Guinness Games和School Guinness Star。通过学习,引导学生能结合自身校园生活的体验来描述自己或朋友的运动才能。

二(5)班的学生活泼好动,喜欢直观形象思维,对游戏、竞赛、画画特别感兴趣。一、二年级是小学生学习英语的基础阶段,这一阶段的重要任务在于激发并保持学生学习英语的兴趣。因此,在设计课堂教学活动时我们采用灵活多样的教学方法来吸引学生们的注意,努力营造乐中学,学中乐的教学情境。

二(6)班的大部分学生善于捕捉教师提供的信息,70%的学生学习英语热情高涨,能基本按要求用简单的英语完整表达出自己的观点或想法。20%的学生学习积极性高,但不能完整表达出自己的观点或想法。10%的学生相对英语基础薄弱,参与英语学习活动的积极性不高,这些学生往往发音、朗读等方面均存在问题……

此外,有关运动类词汇和句型I/ You/He/ She can…在一年级的英语学习中已经出现。但是二年级下学期本单元所出现的有关运动类的词组更深层次,因此我们在本单元中更注重于让学生核心词组的感知、理解与运用以及核心句型—Can he/she …?Yes, he/ she can.  No, he / she can’t.的问答练习。

【教学设计说明】

基于教材分析与学情分析,我们将本单元划分为2课时,分别为:Period 1:Class Guinness games. Period 2: School Guinness games

第一课时旨在帮助学生认知核心词组,对这些词组有初步的了解,并能运用于核心句型I can … 中。让学生了解自己,并通过游戏活动感受快乐,增加自信。第二课时则着眼于认知层面到情感层面的升华。在学生熟知的校园吉尼斯情境中,用He/ She can … 介绍朋友,以此激发他们进一步了解自己朋友运动才能的欲望,并懂得欣赏他人。

本单元主线为校园吉尼斯的活动,在这样一个语境下,学生通过在第一课时中的活动参与和自我才能的描述,推进到第二课时的评选心目中校园吉尼斯得主活动,充分体现了“乐中学,学中乐”主题思想。通过鼓励学生在课堂中师生、生生间评价校园吉尼斯运动奖章的获得者,不断丰富学生们的情感体验同时也在过程中不断巩固了两节课的核心词组与句型,真可谓“老师教得有心有情,学生学得有情有趣”!

1. 在游戏过程中,让学生了解自己,感受快乐,增加自信。

2.在校园吉尼斯活动中,让学生进一步了解自己的朋友,并懂得以欣赏的眼光看朋友,培养学生感知周围人和事物的美好的能力。

3. 在校园吉尼斯的场景中,让学生进一步了解自己的朋友,并懂得以欣赏的眼光看别人。

二、重点难点

1.掌握并运用核心词汇及词组来表达不同季节中的活动。

例如:Play football, play basketball, drive a car, ride a bicycle等。
